Outreach Education Council's Recognition for Innovation and Achievement

This award is given to outreach schools/programs to recognize innovative and creative programming practices in outreach schools or programs that support students in Alberta.

Submissions must be received by May 31st, 2017.

To apply, submit a detailed description of the project that includes the following information:

  • Name or title of the project
  • Name and title of applicant/contact person
  • Name of outreach school or program
  • Name of district and local or name of institution
  • Address of nominator and nominee
  • Telephone and email address(es)
  • Detailed description of innovation and achievement that includes the following:
    • The issue that was addressed and how it was identified or the reason for the nomination
    • Community group(s), school(s) and local(s) involved in the project
    • The outcomes accomplished or to be accomplished
    • Techniques that were used or the activities that were undertaken to accomplish the outcomes
    • The process that was used to evaluate whether the intended outcomes have been achieved
    • A detailed timeline
    • A budget showing specific expenses
    • Any publication or recognition that have come about as a result of the project
    • Detailed bibliography of any research done or resources used

Award/Grant recipients* will receive $500 for their efforts and will be asked to present their project at the annual OEC Conference.

*Note:  No nomination shall be considered unless it is accompanied by documentation of accomplishments and if a suitable applicant is not chosen, an award will not be given for that calendar year.
